I've always like Thursday the best of all week days. It's nearly the weekend, but doesn't have that terrible feeling of "oh, I can't work because the weekend is here" of Friday. In addition, I get to sing with my choir every Thursday.

Is there a Thursday club on h2g2?

I've long held the theory that more events of significance happen on Thursdays than on other days of the week. It may be a completely erroneous theory, but it's my theory and I'm sticking with it.

It's based mainly on elections and the odd revolution or two happening on Thursdays, to be honest. No wonder Arthur could never get the hang of Thursdays!

a lot of meetings and official business happens on a thursday.

The big party night at my college (in Texas) was Thursday night.

I went to what is referred to as a "suitcase college". The students typically live close enough to the school to drive home each weekend, see the family, get money, do laundry etc. every weekend. So since most of the students were away on friday and saturday night, thursdays were when most of the partying went on. Also the local bars/clubs ran their versions of "split-yer-liver night" specials. The club I liked ran $5 cover, all you can drink draft swill and bar drinks.

Some teachers noticed there seemed to be a weekly epidemic of S.I.F. that would hit the school on Friday mornings.
