Who Cares About the Albatross ?

Today sees the RSPB launch a new initiative to educate long line fishermen in how to avoid drowning Albatrosses. Ellen (soon to be Dame) MacArthur and the Prince of Wales are lending their support.
Most people wont have actually seen these magnificent birds in the wild but even on film their grace and tranquility is awesome. Their only crime is to be attracted to the millions of baited hooks that are set from the back of, often illegal, fishing boats. Their fate is to be dragged under the water to drown.
It may not be the biggest thing on your agenda today but by being aware of the plight of the Albatross you can help stop their needless extinction.
Thank you
