h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Just a quick question - I have bought this film (So why am I asking questions I hear you ask) and need to know something before I break the sealed package and open it.

If anyone has the Region 2 (UK) Extended 3 disc version of this film, can you please tell me where on the screen the subtitles come?

I usually find that American discs have subtitles laid over the picture itself - which is what I prefer. English discs (Lord of the Rings for example) seem to have the subtitles in the black box UNDER the picture.
This is a right pain as you have to move the picture to the top of the screen and end up cutting the top off just to read the subtitles.

If anyone can please tell me where they appear on this particular film, I would be very grateful as right now with it still sealed I can take it back and go for the American version.

I always thought it was so stupid to put the subtitles on the picture itself, rather than use those black spaces. But I guess if you have widescreen you might disagree.
