What did you think of *the* film? (Spoiler Free)

I was lucky enough to see the film premiere thanks to winning a ticket from this website, so I thought it appropriate I post here. I haven't found any other threads referring to the premiere, but apologies if this is a duplicate.
I'm going to keep this spoiler free, because I know I'd hate to have a major plot point ruined.
I liked the film, and from the point of view of a fan it was done really well, with some nice touches (including some I'd have missed if I hadn't reread some of the books recently). There were a few things I would have done differently, and a few wasted opportunities, but also some very clever stuff. They weren't afraid to stray from the plot of the books, and the movie benefitted from this.
I'm not sure how much a non-fan will appreciate it, as there's a few bits you can't understand unless you've read the books and got a better idea of what's going on. Of course, you really need someone who hasn't read the books to tell you that, so what I imagine to be a problem might not be. I think they'll still enjoy the movie anyway, it's good enough to stand up in it's own right, but they'll be left puzzled as to why the fans end up laughing randomly at some strange scene or quote.
In summary: for people who, like me, were terribly worried they'd muck it up - they haven't, don't worry. You can go see it and be happy.
I have put a longer review for my friends at http://www.srcf.ucam.org/~stjm2/ - that page is spolier free; it links to different pages with different levels of spoilers, so you can choose how much you want to know.
Oh, and don't leave as soon as the credits start, there's another guide entry.

Were you in the press photos? Or the tv coverage of the stars giving out autographs to the awaiting fans?
I bet it was a fabulous night and I'm sorry I wasn't there.
The film opens at my local cinema at 1.30pm tomorrow.
I can make that before I have to collect my son.
Can't wait...
