They're not on my phone. Pre-installed were only the google ones (android) and the weather app.
I keep Wifi, Data, Bluetooth, GPS and Syncing off unless I need them, but I do have the screen very bright (which probably uses more power than all the others put together!)

Regarding keeping phones, I only just (a year ago) replaced the one I had when I made my *previous* post.
