So any bets on who it is who dies in "Half Blood Prince"?
My money is on Dumbledore.

Ron Weasley in an unfortunate mixup with his left hand, a mirror, and the flipendo spell.

And while we are at it, who *is* the Halfblood Prince?
Death List:
HBP - Lupin, Mrs. Weasley
Last Book - Hermione (after having gone over to the dark side, getting killed by Harry)

It isn't Harry and it isn't Voldemort.
I kind of wish Dumbledore wouldn't die in the series, because it'd be such a cliché. Obi-wan Kenobi all over again.
I agree with Yelbakk that Mrs. Weasley and Lupin especially are good contenders for dying in HBP. I might even care about those more than about the death in HP5 (he just hadn't been in the books long enough to make me really care about him).

He hasn't been there long enough to care about him? You are absolutely wrong!
I think the next one will be Dumbledore, I don't want him to die, but somehow I think he has to.
Or could it be one of the Weasleys? But it whould rather be Mr. than Mrs. Weasley I think.

He was a murderer for most of HP3, he was away for most of HP4, he was away (from the spotlight) for most of HP5.
I liked the character. I thought he was killed off too soon.

The casualty in Phoenix has been growing less likable with every word written about him after Azkaban. Okay, you may well argue that Dumbledore's actions made him behave that way, but all the same.

That is of course if he is actually dead, no body found and all that leaving just enough ambiguity to wonder...
Perhaps a twist in HBP will be that what Harry feared was happening to him that caused the situation might actually be happening to him. You never know....

Well I am on to "Pheonix" again now so I might elaborate on my last post when I finish it.
