I blame 2legs for The 'Day of the Triffids'. I watched part one tonight, based on the John Wyndham novel I enjoyed reading as a kid. It was an unbelievable mish mash of appalling acting, appalling storyline, psuedo science, factual inaccuracies, ridiculous inconsistencies, zero dramatic tension. In short complete and utter drivel. A monstrosity. One of the worst telly things I have ever seen. An utter and abject embarrassment to British tv

Yes Effers, but did you like it or didnt you?

I also watched the part one of day of the triffids, think it must be about the third TV version I've seen, plus at least two radio adaptations, and I've got or heard at least two differnt narrations of the book on audio book.
It is the best thing I've seen all Christmas so far.
Idon't know if this means its actually any good, or that I'm just not very interested in watch the matrix, gremilins, or any of the other films that have been on for the zillionth time, or indeed the utter failure of the TV schedule to make any kind of consistant sense, with programs repeating now on consequetive days, when they were actually a repeat from a few weeks earlier the first time.
Of course, the endless endless incomprenhensible repeating of episodes of Friends, useually on at least three channels at a time, combined with the utter banality of the so-called 'reality TB' shows; which for some strange reason end up at the top of the most watched lists according to a couple of papers at least...
Or,
and this one is ... no I cna't describe it.
There is a TV show on which people flip coins and chose 'heads' or 'tails', that is it. that is a TV show? I really don't understand.
Then of course, we were treated* to 'highlights' of quizz shows. what? I just don't understand why on earth anyone would want to watch a repeat, of a quizz show?
Of course, some sanity is retained by the shows on the 'worse TV moments', or Worse people', of the year... if they're the worse, why the would we ing want to watch them again?
Iblame 2legs for TV, and the fact there is one in the house at all. TV viewing is so much better at my house where Idon't have a \TV...

I blame 2legs for people having different opinions about telly programmes, Now that I know 2legs thought it was the best thing he watched all christmas I'm tempted to watch part 2 tonight with a fresh brain.
Yes ss, apart from what I said in my previous post, it wasn't that bad.
Maybe I need to get more drunk tonight, or less to see things differently. Whatever, I'll blame 2legs.

Recorded Triffids to watch later. I liked the Our Familly special and really liked Enders too for a real who dunit soap. As 2legs said tv was a repeat ripoff. Oops, I forgot, Holby was a very good ghost influenced episode.

The only thing I've watched that I even slightly enjoyed was the Catherine Tate show with Nan, based on a Christmas Carol. I think the Wallace and Grommit things are quite good...but yes they are repeats. I haven't watched soaps in years because the same old storylines and plots just keep going round and round.

I watch Carols From Kings every Christmas Eve on BBC2 and it is always fantastic! On the BBC catch up thing is the modern version of A Christmas Carol, with Ross Kemp, that I love. Its very Street.

We (fahter and I ) were 'flicking' a bit earlier this afternoon.... cept for the news and the shopping channels, every* single channel on freeview at wahtever point in time it was, was showign a repeat; most were actually repeats of things that have been on in the past week, repeating a repat of a repat of a repeat of a ...
It does make me remember why I chose*not* to have a TV anymore myslef
I blame 2legs for the over complicated registration that Vodafone want you do to.... and for their asking for far far more information than they'd ever need
