How do you pronounce it? I say suck sinkt, so I need both c's. I think the double letter is for historical reasons: when a suffix was joined to the root syllable the consonant was doubled.
But you are, of course, at liberty to spell it any way you want to.It's only a convention and you might always get enough of us to agree.smiley - starsmiley - star (who realises you were making a joke)

The spelling of dyslexia is just a cruel joke on people who are dyslexic.

As in: "why are amnesia and Alzheimers so hard to remember?"

Or: where can I find another word for 'thesaurus'?

And: did you know that 'gullible' is not listed in most dictionaries?
