Hence my assertation that both are Equal but not The Same.
There is direct, comparable equality (you and I do the same job for the same money, act the same way and have the same basic drives) and there is true equality which is, to me, very different. (you do what you're good at, I do what I'm good at, we appreciate the other has skills, knowledge, interests and affinities I dont, and am happy for them to be recompensed and treated as an equally valid member of society, taking into account differences in attitudes, motivaions etc.)
Me? Liberal? Wishy washy? Damn, ya caught me. Just "Be excellent to each other!" *Wyld Stallyns!*

>>true equality
Yes, that's what I mean. Feminism should have more revolutionary aims than getting to dress like Hillary Clinton.

I always feel most comfortable around men who are able to speak really honestly to me about their own own feelings, insecurities, inner conflicts etc, often in relation to women. If they are big enough to risk that, and it has to be really honest, not some pretend bulls**t stuff, (I can always tell the difference), I will have no worries. I know we'll get on. That proves to me they have real balls. So I'll know there's a chance they *truly* want a relationship with an independant woman.
What I don't want to hear from a man is his views on feminism. Good or bad.

Not so loud!
Although my inner demons are starting to sort themselves out now too... I realised it's a bit scary for a chap when 2 months into a relationship I suddenly fall apart and tell him what a deeply horrible person I am inside...
I mean, it's sort of a test (can you handle the side of me that *isn't* what I tell everyone, including myself on a daily basis?) but not the fairest one, and at the end of the day I have to find a way to find it out without scaring them stupid! Dammit, risk-taking's not my favourite activity, but you have to, sometimes, jump and *then* find out if the bunjee is just too long or not...
