The Groob

I've heard about a product called 'actimind'. Apparently it's a combination of natural chemicals that's helps memory function. Has anyone tried this or know anything of it?

A quick websearch tells me that actimind is based on Gingko.

Gingko is a tree native to Asia and has a long tradition of use in herbal medicine. It's also had quite a bit of medical research done on it.. It's useful for some people in restoring memory function and mental clarity eg it's been used successfully in elderly people with cerebral insufficiency. It doesn't work for all memory problems though.

If you want to use Ginkgo it is better to use an alcohol extract or tincture rather than capsules or tablets. If you are not used to using herbal medicine then consult a practitioner first or research well.

Oh and Gingko is a perihperal vasodilator so if you have low blood pressure it may make you feel worse. It's good for poor circulation though. You should check for drug interactions too if you are taking any pharmaceutical meds.
