I expect they are.

Do we class fluorescent tubes as bulbs? What about LEDs?

Do we include rechargeable batteries; including those used in cars? What about battery packs? My 12V rechargeable drill, for example, uses a pack containing 10 batteries but these are not directly accessible. Do I call this one battery or ten?

Why don't you ask a representative sample of the population, say 25 people or so, how many batteries and how many light bulbs they own? Start with yourself.

It's then a simple statistical procedure to confirm whether your sample results are reflected in the population as a whole.

You should first define what is a battery and what is a light bulb, as Fathom suggests.

hmmm i beleive the ten batteries included in the drill (we talking one of the pistol loading style drills?

one battery

flouros not be classed cos they needs a spark plug type thing to pop them on

hmm thinking about it bulbs win as like fathom told me once theres like 10 light bulbs in a car and only one batter and theres a hell of a lot of cars on the road

we also havta take into account lightbulb warehouses smiley - erm

My vote is for bulbs, I think. Although, batteries are easier to miss when scanning a room. smiley - erm
