Stupid bloody company.
Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
My bloody company are trying to ban me from taking up a far far better job because they reckon I'm being poached. Bollocks am I.
Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
So annoyed.
And now I have to wait until at least tomorrow until I can look at my contract and try and work out what to do.
Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Thanks.

In the UK, at least, I would have thought that something like this would be very difficult to administer - much like the 30 days notice period. It would also lower morale and make you (at least me) work less. Until later....

poached as in one company stealing the employees of another, only usually comes up where the two companies already have some form of contract between them utilising each others staff. (put simply that is, contract law is a headache!).
from me as well.
I hope you get it sorted out asap. I also hope that you are in a position to tell them to go roger themselves with a chicken and leave if they do pull this on you.
Unfortunately many people aren't and companies have been known to use this excuse to hang on to staff they know they can;t do without.

The company I work for are just crap.
They reckon that the company I want to work for are their clients. When they are clearly not. They just have an arrangement with the company that ARE their clients.
Stoopid stoopid.

If I didn't say it childishly, I think I would be banned! I can think of many stronger grown-up phrases which sum up how I'm feeling!
I work for a little security company which you will have never heard of, although I am contracted to a very large bluechip company.
