I spotted a chateau in Brittany called "Chateau d'O". I still want to go there at some point, just to find out who this guy "O" was and how he came to own a chateau.

It took me a moment to get that one: I think that place has been in the news at some point, so I knew it is generally pronounced "Poo-ket".

I plumb forgot about that town. Been near it but not through it.
A lot of towns here I've noticed tend to get their names in an odd way. Mentioned Unknown, but Tarzan ended up getting its name because the founders' original names for the town kept getting rejected, so they finally went to Edgar Rice Burroughs' novel and put in names from the book: Tarzan, Jane, etc. Finally, Tarzan was approved by the state for the name, though I think any could've been used but Tarzan won because it was listed first.
Flower Mound is also an unusual name for a town here, but the high school mascot is more unusual - it's a farmer. Then we also have the Atlanta, TX rabbits (just rabbits, not jackrabbits, which would make a little more sense) and the Cuero Gobblers (turkeys).
