An inquiry into the desercration of remains at Gallipoli. And not before time!
Is there a more poignant monument to young men throwing away their lives due to the misplaced trust in politicians and their lies?
Hopefully the likes of Churchill,Kitchener,Godwin and Hamilton and present day politicians are squirming in their collective guilt!
(yes I,m sure this story might of rated a page twelve column hidden away amongst the horse race results, somewhere)
We now return you to your normal programming.

I think if you tried this...www.smh.com.au and type Gallipoli, you would come across the story. It is an on going one about our gormless politicians not stopping Turkey from excavating a bloody big highway, so that bloody tourist buses can more easily park at the cemetaries and sacred sites of British,French,Indian,Kiwis,Aussies,Gurkhas etc. Pictures of road workers holding the shin bones of unknown soldiers have incensed the public here and in New Zealand.
Australian,New Zealand and British money goes into this area by the bucketload to maintain Commonwealth War Graves and memorials. Yet the lame buggers knew about the plans for roads to be dug through the middle of battlefields many, many months beforehand and did nothing to pressure the Turks to'tread warily' as it was.
Do I sound a bit Pee'd Off ? Grrrrrrrr

No link to display only the item I heard over the radio as I worked...'Australia remains the Number one destination for British Immigrants!..................'GO AWAY! We are all full up here, the next bloody pale skinned person who says ...'ello, ow yu doin then?'is going to get a rude shock!
Whats wrong with the 'Old Dart' that you have to come and live here then? Hmmmm? We don't do football very well you know, and by all reports we dont do Cricket or Rugby(Union), any better!
Perhaps you could reconsider destinations and stop cluttering up my back deck and regaling me with how great English beer is,WHILE consuming large quantities of my ice cold Tooheys(memo:I have never actually met an Australian who will own up to drinking Fosters while in Australia!)

Tell you what, we'll leave Austrailia to you if you take back all the Aussie bartenders and layabouts in London.
Agreed?

Yes,I think I know what you mean.
I have been told that the absolute worst type of Australian appears in the English consciousness, when they meet one in a London or English Bar.
Apparently this does not happen when ,said Barperson(s) serve drinks in the Emerald Isle, as well as(strangely enough) wine bars in France
Yes, odd it is.
Layabouts you say?!
I bet my useless nieces and nephews(11 in number,at last head count) make up a fair proportion of them!
All over there, and all shockingly unaware of social norms!
