Actually, I agree that appeals to authority are weak - which is why I'm pointing to what the text of James and Peter say. Peter says you can be saved without doing works. James says you can't. They disagree with each-other on specific examples.

Some parts of it clearly state that predestination is a fact. Therefore we have a contradiction.

I've discovered a method wherewith to end this futile bickering:
