Ok, Robbie Williams has put up 100 grand to fight liam gallagher(of oasis)in a tellivised boxing match! who'd win?

Well, at this stage, the smart money'd have to be on Liam. Let's face it, he's a born streetfighter, with years of sparring practice under his belt, with his brother Noel, autograph-hunting fans and members of the press.
Mind you, Robbie is an unknown quantity. He's been on quite a stringent fitness regime to keep that "Where's the pork pie, Robbie?" weight off, and we don't know exactly what that involves. So without knowing the whole story there, it'd be a bit difficult to call the fight at this stage.

I think your right, if liam didnt finish it in the early rounds robbie's fitness would give him the advantage later on.Too close to call.

However, you might want to take into consideration the timing of Robbie's challenge, carefully orchestrated to coincide with Oasis'
tour of Japan. Perhaps he's not as "ready 2 rumble" as he lets on...

Of course he can't back out saying it is not feasible, as apparently a boxing promoter has said he will organise it.

I don't agree with boxing but in this case I'll make an exception.
I don't really care about the outcome so long as Mr R Williams esq. lands up in hospital, as just desserts for being stupid enough to call it.

It would never be a fair fight anyway, because Noel would undoubtedly jump over the ropes and get stuck in at some stage. The only question is: whose side would he be on?

streety Posted Mar 9, 2000
Well we are not going to find out. Liam has refused to fight because he thinks its childish.
And everyone knows how grown up liam has allways been!

Which according to the press reports on the subject, means Williams wins by TKO should the event (if not the actual fight) still take place.
So what's next on the fight card: 5-way Tornado Match between the Spice Girls?

Potholer Posted Mar 10, 2000
Given that it all started at the Brit awards, why not extend the idea to awards ceremonies in general. It must be so hard for judges in the Brits, Oscars or Grammys to decide between the final nominees for any award, wouldn't it be much fairer to get all the finalists in each category to slug it out for the award.?
It'd help get away from all the insincerity and mutual congratulation, and would certainly make the proceedings more entertaining. With any luck, the winner might be too out of breath to make much of a speech, and any tears might even be genuine.

Probably, but Robbie would be taken away to the hospital and probably shag a load of nurses....
