Having being blown away from the first movie, the second is very different. Yet i believe its one of the best films Iv seen in a while.
Anybody else seen this yet?
this also gives me the chance to do a shameless plug for The Deadly Viper Assassination Squad A2107351

I'm bursting to see them both. I love the Tarantino stuff. But m'lady likes bloody awful chick flicks. During chick flicks I can't resist the temptation to chip in with a sarcastic "oh, I wonder if they'll get together at the end? I so can't guess".
Kill Bill Vol. 2
U190482 Posted Apr 23, 2004
I know the feeling, I just like a good film,
those chick flicks where you know whats gonna happen at the end about 2 minutes into the film are terrible. Yet there is a market for them so ther're not gonna go away
Id really advise you to watch Kill Bill if you like QT you'll love it!

Superman theory?
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH YEAH!!!
Kill Bill Vol. 2
U190482 Posted Apr 23, 2004
That spiderman, batman and superman all have alter egos,
Spiderman - Peter Parker
Batman - Bruce Wayne
Superman - Clark kent
When they put on there custumes they become the relevant hero.
However superman is different,
Superman is always superman, his suit is the blanket from his home world, thats the way he dresses. So therefore his alter ego is his way of fitting in to humanity not his super hero.
The characteristics of clark kent are
coward
weak
nerdy
this is how superman views humanity, and to fit in he gets on like that

About your lady not wanting to watch...
My girlf isn't the biggest madkeen violence fan in the world and yet she ADORES Kill Bill. We went to see it at the previews last night and she couldn't stop talking about it all night.
I recommend you taking your woman to see it anyway, but you HAVE to rent Vol I first.

I have to agree with Hanzo Steel on this one.
My NFG is a 'romcom' type, and she's dead keen to see KBVol2. She liked Vol1 loads. Might be the female heroine, might be it's just too damn cool not to like.
Incidentally, can I have "Battle Without Honour or Humanity" by Tomoyasu Hotei as a personal theme tune?
Jimbob (DVA Codename: Hawkeye)

I think that should be the theme for ALL members of the DVAS.
Anyway, nice to meet you Hawkeye.
Chicks LOVE the Kill Bill!

Vol II soundtrack is Magnifique!
Loads of Ennio Morricone on it (Geezer who did all the Spag Western themes, good, bad and the ugly...etc) and some of the guitar instrumentals are by Director Robert Rodriguez (dusk til dawn, Desperado...etc)
My favorites on the Vol I soundtrack though would be: Battle Without Honor..., Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood/Santa Esmerelda and The Flower of Carnage.
Still, you gotta love the 5,6,7,8's!!!
Hanzo Steel.

I never liked that song until I heard the version of it on Kill Bill. My Pop used to play a cack version of it from the 60s and it used to drive me to distraction.
Thats QT for you, he turns the uncool cool.
Respect.

aonemantidalwave Posted Apr 23, 2004
Well, it helps to skip a few I admit.
I'm not too bothered about being 'on the job' to Track 2 (that cartain woman by charlie Feathers) particularly, but with a crafty bit of programming to your CD player, a healthy 30 odd minutes of bliss can be yours!!!
