Did Richard Wagner have Asperger's Syndrome?

Post 1

Gnomon - time to move on

I've never seen it stated that he did, but he had some of the symptoms:

1. He was amazingly focused on obscure details.
2. He loved to stroke silk while he worked.

I feel sad that you've had no response, Gnomon. By the way: do you like to stroke silk while you work?

The first 37 chapters? That's wierdly generous. I do want to read that book. I'd heard and read reviews and it sounded really interesting. I find the autism continum fascinating. Has anyone read anything by Temple Grandin? I haven't but I saw her at a reading, which was also very interesting.

Er, there aren't actually 37 chapters - it's just that he (very sensibly) uses primes to number the chapters.

It all makes perfect sense. It really does.

I just checked out Temple Grandin -unusual name, unusual person it appears.

Love to all
