I'd look for pillows and legs, and mybe even a back if you want to ask for a bit more.

One with removable, washable covers.

Colour? Depends on how much light gets into your living room - you can get away with dark colours if you've got a lot of light. Dark colours are good as they don't show up every little stain. (I assume, like me, the occasional slurp of wine may go astray!)

Places like sofa workshop usually do good deals if you're buying more than 1 item - worth checking out.

Don't get one with tall arms. I too delivery of a mate's reject, and chucked my old reject out, and it's a pain in the arse.

Get one that you can sleep on should the need arise. You might have visitors, or your bed might break or something.

Why do you have prejudice against other types of sofas?!

All sofas are equal!!!!! Equal rights for sofas! All sofas should be allowed to be owned by 2legs and should not be thought of as below standard or better than each other!

The current seatie/sofa, is a sofa bed, well, its more designed to be a bed than a sofa I recon, but its getting rather knacked, its a metal framed monstrosity, and not very sofa-like really, though it was* comfy to sit on, and is* comfy to sleep on... I was hoping to get something like two matching two-seater sofas, one of which I'd have a sofa bed version of , but which still matched the other, identical, but not sofa bed, just sofa, sofa removible covers, vgood idea, what with teh gallons of coffee tea, redwine, stout, beer, bitter, ale, and other assorted liquids and things that end up on the sofa... 'light in the room', I can't remember the last time anyone bothered opening the curtains in my house... its kind of perpetual darkness, but we like it that way, kind of gothic I guess well, no not really, but light... I think I remember what that was... maybe when the summer comes we'l get some
