I don't know if this is cheating, but my fave Bowie song would be "Within You" from "Labyrinth"
Apart from that, I'd have to say the "classics", like "Ashes to Ashes" "The man who sold the world", "ziggy stardust", "let's dance", "diamond dogs"...songs like that

Actually, 'Within You' was on my original list, but my original list had over 20 songs, so I had to shorten it to the basics.

(waves back) Howdy Blackberry ...come on, we've been discussing just this kind of music
Thanks shy, I was scared it wasn't gonna count...I just love that song...I know it's short, but it's so dramatic...and Bowie !

Am I crazy ? Um...yes...!
I love Labyrinth...I have it on video...I couldn't wait until my sisters had kids so I had an excuse to watch it with other people !

How did I forget Space Oddity? That should've been on my list. Listened to Lodger this afternoon. Good album

I have to be honest, and this may be blastphemest (sp?) but, I am not really to fond of his work from the '60s and '70s. I honestly prefer from 1980 and up. Sorry... Oh wait! Except Sapce Oddity. I do like that one.

I don't know if any of you are interested in this, but over on <./>ChallengeH2G2</.>, I recently noted the absence of an Edited entry on Mr Bowie. There's currently a sort of team building exercise going on with the purview to writing an entry.
If you're interested in getting involved the revelant thread is F150575?thread=390233.

Mr Bowie is of course inimitable and in my opinion all of his work counts.
If I had to narrow it down to two songs..two only, from the vast amount of work that has been pushed out over the years,I'd say my personal favourite is "Life on Mars" as its a stunning piece of song/music writing. "Letter to Hermoine" follows, a close second. Its a beautifully sculptured lovesong!
On an album perspective if you haven't heard Hunkdory then you have missed out on some seriously good music.

The Ziggy Stardust album was one of the very first I ever listened to - you might say I cut my musical teeth on him.
