Is the square root of Chocolate Pi the same as the square root of, say, Strawberry-Rhubarb Pi?

Now that's an irrational question.
But in answer... I think they're different. After all, chocolate doesn't even have roots. Mind you, I don't think the the roots of strawberry plants are square, anyway... I believe they're fractal.
I prefer Apple Pi myself... I think they should make piMacs. I've heard of something called emacs so that would kind of go with it, since e is irrational too - and of course i is the square root of -1 so even iMacs have a mathematical element.
Anyway, I should probably stop typing about this or I might end up even less sane than I was.

I always thought that pi was wiggly and squiggly and always haunting us in the dark parts of the mind that are in sector seven of the radius of the moon. Thank you.
Gone kinda nutty,

Damn, it's always the simple stuff I forget.
But still, I think it's highly unlikely that rhubarb has square roots, since squares are two-dimensional.
Or maybe I'm just not looking at this from the right angle.

I think the problem may be that you're trying to deal with Real Integers and what we need is someone well-versed in Imaginary Numbers.

Integers? Nah, the only thing integers are good for is group theory and stuff like that. Otherwise, if there are integers involved people expect you to add them up in your head, and arithmetic is too difficult. I'm all for imaginary numbers... especially irrational ones.

You know, I don't think pi's actually very tasty, I think I'll have some pie instead. (That's 8.53973...)
Transcendentials, eh? I bet you'd like a root too.
It's about time someone appeared and mentioned that their favourite number is 42, don't you think?

Well, no, actually, but since you already have...
Is that pie as in pi(mc²)?

Choc. vs. Straw.-Rhub. Pi
Gibbous Hindsight Posted Feb 16, 2000
Well, if they're both made in the traditional way then they'd both be round and therefore pi would still apply because they each form circles. And, since pi is a constant in this part of the universe, (setting aside for a moment the flavor, texture, and temperature attributes which mathematicians just abhor considering when calculations with pi is concerned) their square roots would be equal. Of course, I don't think the cocoa plant or the strawberry plant have square roots. No, I'm pretty sure they're rather, well, root-shaped, not square. Wait a minute . . . oh never mind.

No, not *that* e... the other one - the one that's about 2.7182818285 or something.
You know, mathematicians should use Chinese - then they'd never double up on letters. Mind you, it was the physicists who thought of that other e.
I've just discovered that transcendentals are exactly the opposite of what I thought they were.

Does this connect with the forum on magpies at all? And how do you spell the pi(e) in P.(eyed)?

oh no not fractal roots, or is it roots that are fractals, and just how long is the costline of Great Britain anyway?

If you multipy 42 by pi (3.1415926535897932384626433832795)
you get 131.946891450771316015431022097739 just to let you know.

Oh great, so you think the Question might have been, 'What is 131.946891450771316015431022097739 divided by a 32 decimal place approximation of pi?'
Forgive me if I got that 32 wrong, I can't count. Too much mathematics can do that to you.
