Clicking them.........knuckles, elbows, knees, hips

I keep telling my boyfriend that if he keeps on clicking his elbows, deliberately and persistantly, dozens of times a day, something really horrible is going to happen when he's an old man, but I'm not sure what?

Any old folks out there who have clicked their elbows/knees/knuckles all their lives and are now paying the price?

If it was my husband who kept clicking his joints, something horrible would happen long before he got to be an old man. In fact, it's doubtful whether he would ever get to be an old man.

Apparently, forcibly clicking the joints can push out the fluid that keeps them lubricated, so eventually leading to premature arthritis. And, yes, it is also bloody annoying.
