Me, Credulous?
Ploppy Posted Jan 15, 2000
My incredulity is right on the money For instance, I believe that...
There was no-one on the grassy knoll.
It was a weather ballon at Roswell.
Pot Noodles are organic.
Bill Hicks was not censored by anti-abortionists.
OJ was innocent.
"Friends" is funny.
Bill Clinton never inhaled.
Monica Lewinsky did. (Incidentally, if the secret service are trained to stop a bullet, where were they when the dress was splashed?)
Justice exists.
Religion should be respected.
Superman is real, albeit with a few logic problems.
Alternatively, it's possible that I don't believe a word of it and I've been taking the p**s all along. Go figure.
How is Superman supposed to fly ?
Siguy Posted Jan 15, 2000
Repeat after me: Blue Screen.
Thats Blue Screen. You see superman doesn't actually fly, they take recycled helicopter shots and superimpose them on the blue screen. Ofcourse they may use a black screen for him since his suit is blue, if they used the same blue then he would be transperent.
As for how the comics explain it, I have no idea.

i think whoever asked the question was after the logic of superman flying not how they do it in a movie

My mistake then. However some of the stuff I read earlier like being able to leap super high didn't make too much sense. I mean Jumping super high wouldn't explain him hovering. I am partial to the earlier stated concept of Kryptonians having very powerful bowel movements.

This makes a little bit of sense. If he had... uhh... I guess 'chloroplasts' in his cells then he would be able to store energy that way. But it doesn't explain how he flies. And the explanation about different conditions on Krypton doesn't sit right with me. If I recall the videos of people on the moon, they could hop around but they didn't have any type of 'super' agility when moving around. Maybe it's because they were stuffed in space suits. They were stronger, however... they could lift rocks that you normally wouldn't be able to, I think.
