Can anyone offer information or suitable links for Flake Girl adverts parodies. Partner's told me about one from 'Birds of a Feather' where Dorien was eating a Flake during a prison visit, and had all the male inmates watching her, can anyone add any more to that, or any other seductive parodies involving the Flake, or any obscure info on the Flake.

It's for here 'Flake - The Erotic Chocolate' - A13692549

It's a collaborative Entry, so if I use anyone's info they will be credited to the Entry. smiley - oksmiley - smiley

you want the info here? Or on the link provided?

Jasper Carrot (Brummie comedian) did a spoof flake advert in one of his shows. He did the one with the woman in the bath that was overflowing as she lost herself in the delights of eating a flake. At the end, he pops up in a scuba outfit from the other end of the bath with a handful of flake wrappers to tell the woman her problem is the drain is blocked with flake wrappers.

I may have remembered slightly incorrectly though.

Wasn't it flake that sponsored Anthea Turners wedding for the price of clutching a flake in every photo. smiley - laugh

Didn't "Not The Nine O'Clock News" do something along these lines as well?

Sorry, no linkage, just a bad memory (a bad bad whatsitsname)...NTNOCN is poorly documented on the interwebnetworkthingy.

smiley - cheers RF, I used to watch 'Not The Nine O'Clock News' but don't recall that sketch.smiley - erm maybe someone else will remember it. I spent quite a while searching 'net for it, no joy. smiley - sadface

I know someone who sort of collects videos, he (says he) has over 2000, maybe he's got a few 'NTNOCN' or 'Canned Carrott' videos he can lend me.

Lady in a tree

Not what you want I think but Boddingtons did an ad where Melanie Sykes was in an ice cream van and this fit bloke was running after it - when he got there she gave him a Boddies with a thick head on it and asked "Do you want a flake in that luv?"

I loved those Boddington ads. Especially the one where Mel says "Ere Tarquil, have you got your trollies on back to front?"

Ah yes, the one with the ice cream van in the desert and a runner. Yeah, i liked the adds (shame the beer is not so good!) and I guess it could be mentioned as it was specifically a flake. But that's more a parody of 99s than chocolate.

Hmm, depends. I've never actually found this out, are the flakes in '99s (the ice creams) actually flake flakes or are they something else? And is one derivative of the other if so?

Yes, they are actually Flakes, but half the size (3 inch) produced for the ice cream trade since 1930. smiley - smiley

smiley - sorry I should have included a link to the Entry, so you could read what's already there, and now it's difficult to post a link, as I don't at the present time have C&P capability. I'll post a link later, if no one beats me to it. smiley - oksmiley - smiley
