If you take Dick Van Dyke's Cockney accent from 'Mary Poppins' - and totally ignore it - that would be a good start. smiley - laugh

Also - ignore most Scottish accents unless being spoken by one of the natives. Robin Williams is one of the few actors who can do a Scottish accent that doesn't make us cringe. Mike Myers is pretty 'pants' at it.

Citizen S

I have to hold my hand up and say that Sharon's acting was fantastic on Tuesday - I didn't see it until last night. She didn't seem to be putting on an accent (Perhaps I am just getting used to it or perhaps it all came flooding back to her when she was opposite Den) If the idea itself is extremely far fetched, the acting and emotion made me believe in it and I felt for Sharon. Great TV !

Actually, have they ever done the storyline where she finds her biological family? I feel sure they must have, I just can't remember it.
