Agapanthus

I am waiting for the people who interviewed me for a job last week to call me back. I called them this afternoon because it's been eleven days now.

I feel sick.

Thank you.

I'm to nervous to do the washing-up, I keep dropping things, so I can't even make myself a cup of tea. Mind you, I'd hate to see me let loose on a boiling kettle just now, so all's for the best.

I find that things always happen when I'm washing dishes. If I'm waiting for something, it'll happen in the middle of dishes.

Good Luck, BTW

I know how you feel, one of the things in life I find the most intolerable is waiting...and the purgatory that is "not knowing"... smiley - grr!

Dear All,

Thank you for being so sweet.

But...

THEY STILL HAVEN'T CALLED ME BACK! ARGH!

Sorry about the screaming. I'm feeling just a wee bit tense. And I've bitten my fingernails right off, look. On second thoughts, don't look. It's unattractive.

Best of luck! Try reading a book - that always distracts me if I'm nervous

Hi Agapanthus,

Good luck on the job hunt. I know it can be nerve racking, I was unemployed for 9 days shy of a year and sent out hundreds of applications/resumes. (I'm working now) I'll keep you in my prayers. (any particular God, Goddess, or Gods you wish me to pray to on you behalf?)

Again Good luck,

I was also unemployed for over a year and know how frustrating it can be.

Have you tried ringing them to see what's happening?

Good luck.

Hi Mostly, how sweet of you to ask after me. I didn't get that job, but I did get a different job (started on Wednesday), so all's well that ends well. I am now either an Information Assistant or an Enquiries Assistant, depending on who you ask, in a large academic library.

Haven't fallen off the earth, am still hanging on grimly - have fritzed my back (as my Grandpa used to say when his sciatica was playing up) and am feeling a wee bit grumpy. Balanced against the happy employed again feeling, i should say I'm on an even keel now.

Hope all is well with you.

Mostly
