A Question about Microsoft Word

Post 21

Phil

F1 will bring up the help window. A standard from before windows if my memory of Word Perfect for Dos are correct. It's certainly been the windows standard for as long as there has been windows

F5 brings up the find and replace window (as does CTRL+R CTRL+F does find)

F7 does the spelling/grammar check

I'm sure there are more that the function keys do but those are the ones that did something when I just tried them in Word.

And back to the original question... If you go to Tools and choose AutoCorrect (or some menu-choice similarly named) it will give you a dialogue box listing a number of different options, including those you listed, with *asterisk* being changed to bold format and _underscore_ being changed to underlined format. smiley - geeksmiley - headhurts

Hope this helps - it's too early in the morning for this sort of conversationsmiley - smiley
