Shaving your head - is it safe?
There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Posted Apr 24, 2003
I've done this twice. The first time was when the girlfriend went to Glasgow on a three day business trip. Boy did she get a surprise when she got back I cut off all I could with a pair of scissors then used disposable razors whilst sitting in the bath to get rid of the rest. I let it grow back though.
About a year ago I did it again - took the hair off with a trimmer. I meant to give myself a number 2 but forgot to put the guide on, so I thought to hell with it and took it all off with the electric razor. Never looked back.
Whoever it was said to be careful about taking off your shirt too quickly - spot on Same goes for turning over too quickly in bed - it'll send your pillow flying across the room Velcro's got nothing on a day or two of head stubble.
I figured I'd only to shave every three or four days. Not so. Every damn day if I want it to look smooth. It's costing me a fortune in shaver cutters and foils Never done it with a razor.

It's a little late in the season to enjoy this benefit, but if you shave with regular electric clippers or beard trimmer and leave a light stubble, then stocking caps will stick to your head ferociously like you were covered with velcro.
Can't have a bad hair day when you have no hair!

As mentioned earlier, I have to confess to being "a bit thin" on top. That's what prompted me to take the plunge. Beat Mother Nature to it and all that. Stupid Dad and his bald genes.

But being thin on top is a wonderful excuse for that masterpiece of the barber's art: the Brillcream Combover!

I took the plunge this morning. I cut off as much as possible with scissors then shaved the rest of with various razors. Four cuts and plenty of blood at first. Head stung like hell when I washed off the shaving cream in the shower. It's only a one off thing - something I'd always wanted to try. It looks okay, but it sure does feel strange!

I've wanted to shave it off as a one-off for many years. Finally got round to it. Don't know what my gf will think of it though, she nearly dropped the phone when I told her all of it is gone.

It's crazy isn't it. If you wanna stay smooth it's a shave every day!

Yeh, definatly get your partner to trace her fingers over it for ages, its fantatic.(for you both). Let your cuts heal up first.

To heck with "tracing her fingers down your head and neck." Get your girlfriend to run the electric clippers in the first place. That's when you'll get goosebumps or whatever. Then you can shave her head!

Never gone right down to the wood but from people I know who have - baby oil on the head to keep your skin in condition and suncream, lots of it and daily, you've not got any hair to stop the top of your head getting burned anymore.
