Illeagal? is this some kind of sick bird? or is that illeagle.

Sprouts! - That's all, though. Fact of the matter is, the combination of all three is kind of what makes life interesting.

Good music (you define what's good)
Friends (no, I don't mean the TV show)
Laughter
Mental stimulation
Having a good talk with a friend/your partner/your mum, dad, sibling(s)
Good films
Good plays
Dancing (you pick the style. If it's disco, don't invite me.)
Drinking (without getting drunk).
Good books

That's 10 for you. O.K., the films / books / plays may be immoral or illegal, it all depends on what you're into. In my case, they're not!

well, that depends on you religious perspective, I think. For some people everything is immoral..

Personally, I think sleeping is a good thing.. especially at 7 in the morning when I have to get up to go to school!

Yeah.. I guess praying is allowed.. ;^)
Anyway, good things in life are supposed to be fun, aren't they? So I guess that means it's immoral to have good things in your life..

It probably does - but then I've always been highly immoral in that respect smiley - winkeye

Guess you're just not religious enough, then...

Anyway, I just converted to TFT (The Final Truth), where fun is highly respected, as the only thing to do since noone knows the true meaning of life anyway.

I haven't heard about TFT - what's it about?

The Final Truth is different from other religions, because it is saying that there is no true religion. And since noone knows the real meaning of life (42 is not a satisfying enough answer) everyone is just supposed to enjoy it as much as possible without hurtin\being mean to people. (That means to follow the Human Rights Decleration)
Because when you are enjoying yourself, you feel good, and when you feel good you're happy, and when you are happy it's easier to make other people happy.. and if everybody was happy, there could be a possibility for peace on earth...

That sounds very sensible smiley - smiley
As a religion it must have a god - which traditional religion is it based on?

'if everybody was happy, there could be a possibility for peace on earth... '

Have you considered using this argument in relation to sadists? fascist? et al.

If everyone is happy, and sadists are made happy by inflicting pain on others, then no....I don't think there would be peace, especially considering many people are not happy unless they can demonstrate their superiority over others.

I think peace on earth is not possible - alas - given the variety of lifeforms your dealing with. however, it still sounds like a nice tenet.

But then, if happiness is what people really want I don't think peace is the correct term, but contentedness is probably more appropriate. Obviously there must be some people who enjoy suffering to some degree, otherwise they wouldn't put up with it in the first place.

Eeek, I've just negated my own original standpoint, but this doesn't matter as it makes me happy.

That's a very convoluted way of going about saying 'yes, I agreee' isn't it?

I have to admit that this religion is not very well developed yet.. it only has about.. hm... 3 or 4 members?
Anyway, since no religion can be considered as correct, it's not important which god you have, if you have one. Personally I don't.
It's not based on any traditional religion, as it was created by an atheist and an agnostic. It was created via e-mails, so that makes it different from other religions aswell.
We have a "Morning Prayer for The Computer Freak" (it's voluntarly), but I havn't managed to translate it into english yet.. I'm in lack of some technical terms to do so.
Anyway, you are all welcome to join!
TFT- the salvation is near...

Yes it was.. smiley - smiley
Anyway, since the Human Rights Decleration is mentioned, that kinda stops all the sadists, facists etc..
They just have to learn how to be happy without being hurting people. Of course.. how to learn them that, is still an unanswered question

But surely by trying to make them learn to be happy not to be that way, implies that your version of happiness is the only one, they do not have a right to be happy without conforming to this, and this would turn you into a fascist, and you would have to be taught not too be happy with this? Therefore, where does the cycle stop?

Doesn't labelling something/one as atheist or agnostic imply that there has to be something to be atheistic or agnostic about? By having to affirm that you don't believe in something, you are acknowledging the possibility that it exists in the first place, whereas if you didn't believe it existed, you would not have to affirm your non-belief as there would be nothing not to believe in in the first place.

Confused?

So am I, and I wrote the b* thing!

As an agnostic I'll say that noone can prove that there is a god, and therefore I won't take a stand to that question.
Anyway, the point with TFT is that if you feel good, you're happy... and if you're happy.. that's just great. If an atheist wants to believe that, he\she's welcome to do so. And since you don't have to believe in a god to convert to TFT, I don't see a problem with that.
You can be an atheist or an agnostic about whether there is an existing god or not, and still follow that happy-theory.

And yes.. it was kind of confusing, yeah.

:^)
