Are the rumors true? Are they really working on a The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy : The Movie??
If someone knows, please tell me where I can find that information and some details if possible.

Ok. Suppose there is going to be a movie. Who would best suit the part of Arthur? And what about Ford? How
about a list with all possible interpreters of these fine and delicate characters?

I have heard that Hugh Laurie has been offered the part of Arthur Dent.

This sparked a discussion in our office regarding who would get some of the other parts.

So far, we have the following:

Zaphod - Robin Williams or possibly Jim Carrey if he could tame his wilder excesses.

Ford - Paul Whitehouse

Trillian - Helen Baxendale, Beth Goddard or Sally Phillips

Marvin - Stephen Moore, Norman Lovett

Any comments/further suggestions?

I think Arthur Dent should be played by Hugh Grant...I don't know why, but I always imagined him in that position.
So why aren't they being public about the 'making of the movie' (if that's what's happening). Many people would like to know.

What everyone is forgetting is that, technicaly there already is a movie, from about 10 or 15 years ago. I think it may have been a tv series, strung together as a movie, but it was 3 hours long. The one star I remember most was Peter davidson(the 5th Doctor) as the Dinner cow!
