More something you don't hear than something you don't see, but you used to be able to hear the police walkie talkies on some frequencies on the radio (shortwave?). I haven't known that to happen for years.

John Alderton was in Calendar Girls.
He was really good, too.

On my way home from work yesterday I was looking at the daffodils on the verges gently nodding their heads in the wind and it reminded me of those plastic flowers in pots that danced along to your radio/stereo.

The Krankies are still about. They were one of the 'entertainers' featured in the BBC documentary of the same name broadcast about a year ago. I once saw them in panto. I think they still play the holiday camp circuit.
I was listening to an old tape yesterday, so here are some musical artistes that seem to have disappeared:
Jimmy Summerville
Kim Appleby
Terrence Trent D'Arby

The Tripods.
The 'trilogy in two parts'.
I was saddened to read that the actor who played Beanpole - Ceri Seel - died in 2002.
Can anyone tell me how he died? This fansite is German.
