Famous People/Ordinary things

So, I've just got back from the hairdressers. Whilst there, I obviously got my hair cut...but as we were all sat there, mindlessly slagging off Ulrika Jonsson, who should walk past the window, but the very pretty lady who plays the character Comfort in the BBC programme "Casualty"......in her uniform nonetheless. They regularly film round the area, but still, it provoked much squealing from myself and the bunch of old ladies who were also getting their hair done at the same time.
Which sparks the question, who has seen a famous person whilst doing ordinary things (eg : getting your hair cut)...?

I was sitting in the metro one day when I think I saw Sita walk by walking her dog. You probably have no idea who that is though. It's "the worlds cutest pig", one of the winners of the Dutch Popstars. And I just saw today you can actually buy her album down here in Singapore. Odd.

I nearly ran Mark Lamarr over on Edinburgh's Easter Road. Should I have speeded up?

The cinema where I work is next to our local theatre, the Regent, which is a venue for comedians on tour, tribute bands and the like. Sometimes the turns mill about the area prior to the show.
A few months ago I met Paul Williams (Jesse, Suits You, You Ain't Seen Me.. Roit?) and Simon Day (Dave Angel, Supt. Monkfish, That's Amazing) from the Fast Show at a cafe just down the road, and a few days later Jim Davidson came up to the cinema while I was out having a smoke.
He asked me what was on and I gave him the options - Harry Potter, Die Another Day, Mr Deeds and such. He wasn't very impressed but I tried to give him some insight into the excellent Brit indie zombie flick 28 Days Later, enthusing about it at some length.
His response was, "Well, I guess I'm f*cked then, aren't I?" and walked away.
You said it, unctuous t*rd..

I hope you threw things at her Ashley.
The lady who plays Comfort is so I nearly got up from the chair and chased her down the street. Another one to be caged...

I saw Ulrika at a football match with Simon Day. Strikes me she doesn't stay in much.
My favourite was meeting Ron Atkinson at the motorway services, though. He was stood there all by himself, having a quiet croissant, and I just leaned next to him and started talking. We were nattering about football for about 20 minutes. Nice fella.

I've seen Nigel Hawthorne on the train & Peter Barkworth on the tube just travelling like us ordinary folk (when they were alive of course).
Saw Eleanor Bron shopping in John Lewis once & Jim Broadbent in Sainsburys.

I met Jim Davidson when I was doing some holiday work at a theatre, he was quite arrogant
Met John Virgo at a parking ticket machine, he was as friendly as anybody would be when asking how to use a pig of a machine

I was at LA International airport, Hawaiian Airlines terminal, waiting in the commoner line to check in for my flight, when I heard a familiar voice at the first class counter. Tracking it down, I located Bob Sagat (Full House, America's Most Completely Devoid of Anything Entertaining Home Videos) with what I would assume is his family.
My high school choir did a Christmas show with Shirley Jones (The Music Man and assorted other musicals, The Partridge Family). Anytime you see her interviewed on television, she's playing a character. The real her is a bit curt, and speaks 40's-ish slang with a Brooklyn accent.
The following year the Christmas show was with Pattie Page (50's era singer best known for "How Much Is That Doggie In The Window"). A very kind and amiable lady.

I was doing sort of an ordinary thing - serving customers in my shop, when Kevin Wheatley walked in... and bought a round plastic dog poo!
That's my claim to fame and I'm damned proud of it!

Chris - shouldn't that have been Mark Williams?
I was on a train and the bloke in the seats opposite was Nick Hancock. Spent the entire trip on his mobile phone.
Waiting for the train to Harrowgate, observed Richard Ingrams going for the underground.
Number 1 Claim to fame : Slightly hungover breakfast in a hotel restaurant in Brighton when Christopher Biggins came in!

I saw Steven Norris on the tube near Earl's Court. He was alone. I couldn't believe it was him and he was on his own. It was interesting to watch other people recognise him and have the same "oh my god" reaction.
