A Very Hootoo Christmas

While I was out shopping this morning, one of the shops was playing a reggae version of Chris De Burgh's "A Spaceman Came Travelling".
It must get better than this.
Suggestions of cool Christmas records, anyone?

Nelson Munks, from The Simpsons, singing "Joy to the World"...
It went like this...
Joy to the World/The teachers dead/We barbecued her head/What happened to the body/We flushed it down the potty/And round and round it goes/And round and round it goes...

'Muntz', his name was.
How about ELP's 'I Believe In Father Christmas', the Beach Boys' 'Little Saint Nick' or the Pogues & Kirsty MacColl's 'Fairytale of New York'?
I was a little disappointed by the content of this thread after seeing the title. I was hoping for a hootoo '12 Days'
"On the 12th day of Christmas, my true love sent to me:
12 Eds-a-Slacking
11 Mods-a-Grumbling
10 Scouts-a-Picking
9 ACEs-a-Greeting
8 Gurus-a-Quibbling
7 Subs Editing
6 Thingites-a-Sporking
5 Old Threads
4 Weak Puns
3 Deja Vus
2 Pointless Feuds
And a Greebo with her Donut."

Very Clever Master B *strikes a pose* although I hope the "greebo" reference wasn't me!
*throws a stale at him*
I've not come across one "greebo" on h2g2...

Actually (for an unscheduled return to topic) my favourite Christmas tape is a Barry Manilow one, which has some lovely melancholy songs on it e.g.
I got wine, I got cheer
I got nobody here
I guess there aint no Santa Claus
Well they sure got it right
When they said "Silent Night"
I guess there aint no Santa Claus

By far the best, most atmospheric and moving Christmas record I've heard is "Christmas" by Low.
This is probably my favourite Christmas song: http://www.chairkickers.com/low/audio/longway.mp3

I believe I once enjoyed Cliff Richard's "Mistletoe and Wine" as a child.
But then he is evil incarnate!!
Will go and inspect this *greebo* now...*critical eye in gear*
I only ever talk to people who post into Askh2g2 on a regular basis!!!
The s are all mine though *grumble*

I am going to nominate Badly Drawn Boy's "Donna & Blitzen" from the "About a Boy" soundtrack.
"Fairytale in New York" also gets my vote.
