Justin is of course free to come to the entry in question and protest that he's been misrepresented - if he thinks that. And if he does think that, I'd reconsider the content of the entry, or at least dispute it with him.

But I don't think he would be in any way offended, or feel that I've misrepresented his belief in any way. I think he'd stand behind every single thing he's said. You can call him many things (and I have), but inconsistent is not one of them. If he's said something here, it's because he believes it.

Collecting quotes on a particular subject to demonstrate a particular opinion is a normal technique of debate, and satire. Private Eye do it all the time.

If it did make anyone uncomfortable to have the accurately reported expression of their opinions collected in one place, then surely that is a pointer that perhaps they ought to rethink those opinions. Which is, of course, the point.

I for one would be quite happy for anyone to collect (if they could be bothered) non-misrepresentative quotes of things I've said. I'd find that quite instructive, in fact, as an external view of how I come across...

Far from seeing you as some kind of a pariah, hoovooloo, I think you've done the community a service, and the fact that you've been required to change something, but have been allowed to report on the circumstances, shows that the system is working.
Don't push it too far and deprive the rest of us of your contributions.
