I agree about the man comes around spoke bits, and I must admit i haven't heard Unchained, but of the three I have I think Solitary man is the best, particularly his versions of One and The Mercy Seat.

Frankly, it's probably a bit like trying to pick a best out of John Lee Hooker's Indian Summer Albums , The healer et al.
They are all beautiful recordings, truly worthy of a major figure in music history.

Unchained is as good as the others. It's in my walkman today.
Of course, The Man Who Couldn't Cry is a Loudon Wainwright song, so always intened to be at least partially gigglesome, I'd think.

Of course. I remember once going on a family holiday, put thjat Cd on in the car,a nd my mum had to pull over because she was having hystreics at the wheel.
