Does anyone remember the name of a BBC drama serial, set in Liverpool in the late 1950s/early 1960s, in which Roger McGough appeared as a Beat Poet? It's really bugging me. I think that the actor who played Billy Corkhill in Brookside was also in it...

Just looked him up on www.imdb.com http://us.imdb.com/Name?McGough,+Roger and there's one mention of him playing a poet in The Liver Birds but I doubt it'd be that - he'd be more likely making an appearance as himself than in character by that point. His own site (www.rogermcgough.org.uk) wasn't much help either I'm afraid.
But doing a search for the Brookside bloke (John McArdle) produced "And the Beat Goes On" from 1996. McGough isn't listed, but that's no indication that he wasn't in it.
Hope this helps,
Jimster
