So, over time the distances between planets and stars increases?
So if we don't get to Mars soon, we may never do it.

Problem is we don't ever get back to where we started, leastways not before the end of the universe, coz we can't go faster than light. then again there's a nice new little theory that time loops back on it's self too, so you end up arriving after you left, but before you began. smiley - smiley

Hmmmm, Curly! Well some folks who wear white coats and have secure incomes say that yeah mars is buggering off at a staggering rate and we should really pump more cash into NASA. Other folks with the same job description say that no (deep breath), we are also expanding along with it, that is that we get bigger every day, and that the furthur things are away from us,the faster they are going and the bigger they are getting. Who's right? don't look at me I'm on the dole. ta smiley - bigeyes

Yeah you're right. At the moment I know of 7 working theories on Universe topology and spacetime dynamics, if you add that to the (approx) 460 creation stories that are 'sposed to have something to with race memory an' zeitgeist comparison then, well I'm a little at sea. I was just trying to fit the answer to the frame of the question, but I promise I'll be a little more careful about wild statements next time thanks for the pointer. smiley - bigeyes
