A Conversation for Stargate Command - Re Instated
Lab 7B- Remote sensing

*This lab is often shared by the science and intelligence communities of SGC. It contains rows of computer banks to deliver the processing power needed to work with detailed photographs, maps, and other images obtained from remote sources.*
*At the moment, it is occupied by Major Scandrea. She sits down at a computer terminal, opens a program, and starts crunching some numbers.*

*Looks up.*
Oh, hello! You must be the new computer science guy. What's your name?
*Saves her progress on the model, and stands up.*

HPB.
Erm.. *doesn't know whether to shake hands or salute*

*Smiles*
Technically, I am a Major. I think you might be supposed to salute, but one way or another, I don't care. I think science works better if we're all on the same level, not this ridiculous hierarchy.
So, Corporal is it? HPB. What's your specialty?

*Looks at the pips on his shoulder.*
Oh dear. I'm sorry! You're a captain, aren't you? Please accept my apologies. I had that laser eye surgery recently, and my eyes still aren't quite back to normal.
So, physics! I suppose you'll be working with the particle accelerator on level 117?

Oh it comes with the joys of matter.
*looks around again*
I'm sorry Major, I'm relativey new to the SG project. Recently brought on. *smiles*

That's all right, we all have to start somewhere! I'm relatively new myself.
Well, since you're the physicist, we ought to get you to the physics lab! Right now, you're in the middle of the remote sensing section. This is where intel people and geologists come to pore over images and maps.
I'll show you around. Come on!

Scandrea!! Scan!! where are you

Scandrea Posted Nov 20, 2004
*Returns to the lab, and almost crashes into Major Reefgirl.*
Oh! *Salute* Major! The new physics personnel came in today, and I was showing him around.
The landslide model should be almost done. Would you like to see?

Not Just now Major
I just came to say after a conversation with General Craxus we've decided to amke you the 3rd in command
*Salutes*
Congratulations Major Scandrea, although the 'boys' may not be too happy about having women in charge but who cares
**
I'll pop back later for a look at your model

*Watches her as she leaves.*
Urk
*Shakes her head, and sits back down at the computer bank.*

I reorganised the research files in to easier sections. That's a copy.
