*Realizing that she'd want Syian to do the same if their roles were reversed, Lumien accepts the fact.*

*She rushes for Kala pulling Kazinishi behind her.*

*Kala growls but lets Lumien climb on her back with Kazinishi, she takes off gracefully and starts to circle in the air above the cave without moving on*

*Down below Nick has struck Syian a savage backhand and is screaming at his troops, some of them move off in every compass direction while the others grab Syian and follow their master back to his stronghold*

*Lumien looks helplessly from Kala's back. Suddenly, in a brainstorm, she thinks of a way that they can all get out of there alive.*

You want to protect your friend, dragon? She's down there, all we need to do is get her!

*Kala swoops down, and gently picks Syian up in her great talons.*

GET US OUT OF HERE!!!!

*Kala flies at great speed away from Imardin until they reach Oane where she sets down just outside the barracks*

[Arc]: "Alright demons. Come out ...and play. I have come to seek tutelage, that I might better defeat mine enemies."

*He stands outside the cave entrance grimly, with an axe over his shoulder*

[Arc]: "Unless..." *Looks toward the river with teeth gritted*
"Oh. My idiot half-brother most likely... This should prove interesting..." Then he laughs.

*arrives panting*

Hello? I was told to report here?

[Arc]: "I don't know. I'm just a lone traveller. Uhh..."
*Tries to hide his axe behind him. Somewhat awkwardly.*

*from the darkest shadow a daemon steps forth, once perhaps could have been described as human in appearance time has striped flesh from the bone and muscles hang useless sinuses no longer attached to joints, across it's head a dusting of long lank hair that drifts in a non-existent brease*

Daemon: You still linger.... what for art thou here young-one?

[Arc]: "To get stronger, and try to throw away this pathetic human side of me."
*He tries not to gulp while speaking.*

D: You think part of you pathetic young one... perhaps you need to work together rather than appart....

*a large orb of glowing light hits arc and when it fades he finds that there are now three people in the cave, two of which seem to be him*

[Arc]: "??!"
*He looks left, then right*

"Well, one of you has a nicer axe than I do. And one of you has a rusty weapon."

A.a: At least I know how to use mine.

A.b: Use it? It looks like you can't even polish it.

D: you stand there one part you see is only daemon the other only human consider perhaps that both alone are weak

*Arc stands and looks*

Yeah, I think... hey, if this is some sort of a way to show me my demon half's lacking control and my human part is weak with human emotions...

*He kind of glares at his 'other self' while trying to think.*

well.... also your deamon part is drawn to the whimsy of the necromancer, the lyche.... other deamons
its not really as good as it looks
at least part human gives you part humanity
and part of that is free will

Yeah, but the way I see it the human part by itself isn't so great either. Although... I don't know; who's to say someone who is half of each may not have certain advantages that neither would have if they were full.

*This makes Arc sit down and think*

D: well no as the human part is well.... a lot weaker, humans can't control magic as well but they can do a greater range of spells i suppose, and theres the shorter life span.... much shorter, and sometimes they just look so.... moreish *a long snake like tounge appears for a second*

*coughs*

[Arc]: "...Something about human inferiority, I believe."
