A small cave in the woods
Luthiena Posted Aug 9, 2004
*she shivers involuntarily even thought the air is warm; she glances back over at him...
..another male necromancer, just like her father, she will be on her guard....
..unconsciously she moves her hand up her shirt at the back and runs her fingers over her scars, both old and fresh*

*Lumien notices what she is doing, and hugs her.*
Like I said before... we are not the Dark Alliance.
And besides, if he really wanted to hurt us, he had plenty of opportunity earlier. </>

*Syian tenses in the hug, she winces slightly and hopes Lumien didn't notice, she nods tersely*

*Backs off, and takes the rabbit off the spit, dividing it into three portions, and handing it out.*
Eat up, you need your strength.
*She eats slowly, savoring every bite of the gamey meat.*
What was your mother like?

Luthiena Posted Aug 9, 2004
*leaves the rabbit untouched*
She was...different, she was a slave of the Dark Alliance...*she looks dissatisfied with her explanation*...well not exactly a slave, she could have left but they blackmailed her into working for them as they had my father.
She loved him dearly...god knows why

She was beautiful...she didn't understand mages or even humans for that matter

*Lumien stops eating, and in the firelight a tear can be glimpsed on her cheek before she rubs it away.*
You probably take after her a lot... you sure don't act like your father.

Luthiena Posted Aug 9, 2004
I doubt I take after her...she was always happy, so trusting, and so beautiful...
It is because of her that I find it easier to go into death near water....

*Looks surprised, then considers a few thoughts for a moment or two.*
I always thought they were immortal...
*Shakes the thoughts away.*
At least you know who your parents are.

<*Pats Scandrea on the back.* Hate it when that happens.>
*Finishes his poison and puts it in a little jar. Starts eating his rabbit.*

*Exclusively to Kazinishi.* ~~She'll be all right, but no sudden moves, OK? Her father did some terrible things to her...~~

~~No problem. I was partly conscious back there, and I really hope he didn't do what I think he did.~~

~~I'm afraid he did... we've got to get her to go back to Imardin. That's the only place we'll be safe.~~

~~{A string of curses in a foreign language} It's starting to get dark. We shoul camp here for the night and head back in the morning.~~
It's starting to get dark, we shoul get some rest. I'll take first watch.

*Syian looks at Lumien sadly*
They are immune to the aging process, if that is what you mean by immortal..but I have not yet met anyone who was immune to a sword

Syian, I'm so sorry...
*Sits and eats in silence for a little while, before daring to crack a smile.*
Absolutely brilliant of you, fooling the orcs like that!

*smiles wryly*
Orcs are easily fooled *puts on a harsh voice*
Help you escape mistress, of course we will!
