h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

*A center for all of the guild. This place has a few trees for decoration. It is available to see the stars and the whats nots. To many, this is a good spot for thinking.*

*The High Lord walks into the open space of the courtyard. He has already taken the time to prepare the wooden buriel fire for the drow.*


*The drow is wrapped in a single black sheet with a rune etched in red. The rune symbolizes the passing from one life to another. The High Lord lays the drow down in teh center of the sticks on top of a flat wooden board for the body burning.*


*The high lord walks to five corners of the courtyard and says something in a ancient language. Only those whom know drow know what the high lord is saying.*


*His hands reach up to the high heaves and a blue rune appears in mid air. It is inscribed in the drow letter system. The High lord does this at all the points. The High Lord walks back into the middle where the body lay on the buriel platform.*


*He takes a few items from his bag and begins chanting. He smears red stuff all over the face of hte sheet. And lays down two branches of a rare tree down next to the body. Then from nowhere an explosion above the body erupts and a brightly colored yellow rune appears in the night sky.*


*The high lord steps back out of the circle and the run falls down onto the body and it ignites instantly into a blue flame.*


*The high lord watches and waits to see if any other magicians will show up to the buriel. The flame should last 3 days and hte high lord will stay there not moving from his place at the buriel.*

*enters*

*nods respectfully towards the flame*

*Looks over at Lady Aaylia and is happy that she has shown up at the mystical buriel.*

*enters as quietly as possible*

*stands solomly, hoping she isn't intrudung*

*Notices the apprentice standing watching the flame.*


*The High Lord takes it upon himself to go over and talk to the lonely apprentice.*


Hello m'lady and how are you today?

*seeming a little pre occupied*

Oh, alright i supose. Thank you for asking. I just hope I dont start criying. I always find it so sad, this passing from one world into the next. But I supose that the drow will be looking down on us now, and i always find it a comfort to know that when someone leaves us they are still here, watcing over us. It really is a beautiful ceremony my Lord. Really quite touching.

Thank you....It is difficult to do the buriels properly and i believe im the only one in Imardin who can do it.

You have certinly done the burial very well, if I may say so my Lord. It is undoubtably very beautiful.
