A Conversation for Talking Point: Ideal Homes
the perfect home

ooh, does that mean we get to indulge in our fantasies? if so, my perfect home would be a small (but decent sized) house with stone or redbrick exterior and a small carpet grass lawn. a large humidity and temperature-controlled library room (with no direct sunlight!) with floor to ceiling shelves for my books and a display case for my star wars collection, and a smaller room with good acoustics and nothing but a steinway grand piano in the middle of the floor. i don't care much about the other rooms, really, except that there has to be a bed and a computer workstation someplace... and a microwave oven in the kitchen because i'm absolutely dismal at cooking. for all i care, they could all go in the same room!

no, i just like the idea of hundred-thousand-dollar musical instruments sitting in the middle of my floor.
i was just kidding. yeah, i play the piano do you?

while we're indulging in fantasys, I would have one room which is a perfectly normal lounge room, only every thing is upside down and on the ceiling. Id get people pissed then let them sleep it off in there. And then when they awoke...
Id have another room that is rather dark and has a large sci-fi looking thing in the middle. Id tell people not to go in there, and they would be really curios and eventually look inside then wonder what it is and what it does and why is it in one of my rooms.
Id have lots of similar rooms, that serve no purpose but to make things interesting. Another one may be filled with water which would alos have a sign saying "no entry" Eventually somone would have to look...
I think id also have a staircase that doent lead anywhere so that people would go up, then find the roof getting lower and lower then they would get confused.
