After 2 weeks on the rollercoaster, wondering if Mum would still be with us or not, I can now give you a true update of her condition.
She has had a clot on her lungs (twice). The "Winter Sickness Bug" that has been sweeping the wards for the past month or so. Thus causing her to rupture something in her abdomen. She was too weak to survive an operation, that they were hoping that IV antibiotics and painkillers would cure it.
Now it turns out they also believe that she had a heart attack at sometime during the early days of her admittance. That is why she was so very poorly when she was first put on the ward.
As they could not get a true ECG reading, they have been taking lots of blood samples. She looks so battered and bruised!
Since Wednesday, she has been making steady improvement...
