I give you three tips for student life.
1) Heating is expensive, sleep in a coat.
2) Lectures are optional, alcohol is compulsory. Combine the two by turning up to 9am lectures drunk.
3) Make sure one of your flatmates can operate an iron.

Well, everything seems to be going okay. Loneliness is an issue...the requisite "Hello, what course are you on, where are you from, oooh I'm from Devon" only gets me so far before I crave intellectual conversation!
And then they all look at me strangely when I start talking about the toxin found in chilis...hmmm...
And, of course, there's the fact that I now have Freshers Flu. Gah!

I got Freshers flu really bad in my first week. Best cure for it is making a lemsip or something, whacking a shot of whisky in it, and keep topping up with paracetomol now and again.
