Saggy men's pants (UK usage of pants).

Gentlemen. You don't wear Y-fronts any more do you. And this has caused a whole new way for underpants to become worn out and require replacement.
Yesterday, there I was hanging out my washing and noticed that the elastic at the front of several pairs has become worn and saggy. Surely, I thought, this isn't to do with my stomach! Not THIS degree of pant damage!
And today the penny dropped. I wouldn't have this problem with Y-fronts.
Ladies, this doesn't apply to you, so look away now.
Gents. When you need to visit the 'little boys room' even if you aren't a little boy, my guess is that most visits will not entail a sit down. You will be faced with the trouser zip doing it's job but there being no matching underpant aperture. So you are faced with the prospect of having to arrange the 'weeing tackle' over the top of the pant elastic at the front. Now if you are a normal human being, this will only be achieved by putting extra strain on the elastic, pulling it downwards and, well, hoicking the old man over the top.
I'm right aren't I?
I still can't bring myself to buy Y-fronts though.

If you buy briefs, instead of old-man's pants, the required deflection is much less. Not that I do that of course.
I keep a single pair of Y-fronts at the bottom of my drawer with the implied message that it is time to do some urgent laundry when I see them.
It being summer though, my lazy habit when wearing shorts is to lead the old man the other way. You might get a bit ore life out of the undies with that technique.

I'm not familiar with the expression "y-front."
I wear boxer shorts, which have a slit below the waistband. Sometimes there's a button to keep it closed when not in use.

Y-fronts.

The pee(p) hole is at the bottom of the inverted Y.
Of course, it is a bit of a wiggle to gain access to the outside world through there and runs the risk of there being a 'dampening' accident.

I've never noticed that kind of underwear for sale here. Not that I would buy it even if it were offered. I like boxers, which are roomy and easy to use.

I cant imagine what drew me to this thread especially as I read it as "soggy men's pants". However, I shall now leave post haste.
With 3 sons and a husband, I can quite see the point, though.

If it's an accident, does it make it a single entendre?

Pants...? Pah! Throughout the summer I shun pants and dare to be bare (under my shorts)

I'm using 'pull up' type senior diapers myself*, paper and absorbent material, developed originally for the 1960s space program, safer, more comfortable, use them once aand throw them away... - but no 'y slit, which means one has to either drop them or pull the male tackle out next to the leg.
If I could find them with a 'y slit' in front, I'd prefer them.
*Habit I got into while stiil troubled with a bladder stone that was making me howl like an alley cat.
