LOL! I 'm sorry for over reacting but I don't want those countries to go through what United States of America went through on 9/11

I wouldn't want anyone to go through what Vietnam went through at the hands of the americans in the vietnam war, but hey... Power talks.
I'm sure everything will be alright in the end. Worrying about it is pointless. Any of us could die any day and so long as people are aware of things like unattended baggage in train stations and so on and report it, that's all anyone can do.

Sad fact of life, humans don't get on with each other very well. Religion gets in the way. Stop all this "my god's better than your god" nonsense and we might just see a little less trouble in the world today.

See, religion is just an access point for Power. Power is the root of all evil. Money, religion etc. are just ways and means of getting/showing it

Hoom, thought I posted here last night.
I wanted to congratulate the OP on the concern for their fellow homospaiens.
I was also gonna go with this one as it's not IRA centric:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_terrorist_incidents_in_Great_Britain
As you should note we've had our "9/11" in July of 2005.
In the wake of that on,e Hootooers went ahead with our London summer meet indulged in what we dubbed "drinking against terrorism".
It's just how we do things over here.
I'd also like to point out that the US has had terrorist incidents prior to "9/11".
That didn't involve the military or Guantanamo being used to deal with the the threat to national security presented by radical Catholicism, radical republicanism, racism which were in varying degrees motivators in the Oklahoma bombing, and in the Atlanta Olympics bombing and numerous other incidents.

The Outlook may be bleak, but we have the Powerpoint to present against all challenges we may be faced with.

Your right we have had other terrorist attacks but none as devastating as 9/11, well unless you count the Pearl Harbor bombing.

Stealth "Jack" Azathoth Posted Oct 1, 2010
We shan't count Pearl Harbour, as that's a state targeting a military target, although morale sapping was probably an expected external success.
More apt would be Hiroshima or Dresden, both carried by our alliance, as examples of states applying terror.
I wouldn't dispute that "9/11" was more devastating in terms of direct lives lost, direct economic impact (indirect: two wars funded by borrowing, good men like Pat Tillman killed), and impact on opinion than any of the prior domestic events.
The direct impact of "9/11" was an order of magnitude greater than what had come before.
The indirect losses and order of magnitude greater again, weren't inflicted by the terrorists, but by both our governments.
The response to terrorism is not to be disproportionately effected or affected. For the people not be afeared and the governments to be permitted to exploit that fear.
