Being new to h2g2, infact being new to conversing on the web in general, I often find myself lost amist a plethera of irrelevent information. Is it just me who finds this or are there others out there who feel the same?

The Web is a vast collection of information, most of it irrelevant. The skill in navigating the web is not finding information any more, it is knowing what to believe and what to dismiss as rubbish.

That's an interesting point.
Sometimes the rubbish takes over and you find yourself almost believing total dross.
Luckily, common sense kicks in - eventually
