Ever thought about the weird things that happen in cartoon land? Why things are as they are?
One thing that's always worried me...why couldn't Barney and Betty Rubble have kids?

Someone using a joint persona and actually saying who they are! Wow! When H2G2 Support was created someone suggested always signing with a real name, and Mark thought it was a great idea. Never happened, did it?

Tango,
Just for your edification, Bam Bam, son of Barney and Betty, was adopted.
This leads to other curious thoughts about toons and childrens' TV programmes in general...
In "Fireman Sam," for example, every adult male in the village of Pontypandy is a member of the fire service. There are only two adult females, and the two children who call Sam "uncle" do not appear to have any parents.

And another thing.
Why does Thomas the Tank Engine get the blame when things go wrong on the railway? It's hardly his fault if some incompetent railwayperson meddles with his braking system. All poor Thomas can do is roll his eyes and apologise to the Fat Controller.

I think it wasn't so much that they couldn't have kids, so much as Bam Bam was found, wasn't he? Which still raises the concern about abandoned babies on The Flintstones...

What I want to know is why bother with a car if you have to walk anyway to get anywhere?
Key: Complain about this post
