I't amazing what you can't find when you're looking for it. I've just written a piece in the course of which I refer to Mr Bowie, so I searched for an edited entry to link to, and there wasn't one!
Surely there's some Bowie fans around here who could write one.

I'm willing to pass on some of knowledge as my interest/obsession grows. I recently bought the previously shunned 'Outside' album and don't understand why it was so unpopular. Not as good as 'Heathen' and 'Reality' but better than some of his stuff.

I must admit I've not heard much Bowie stuff... well, hardly any. But I'm willing to do any reseach.
So is that me, Shazz and Das in on this? Any other takers?

Actually, there was a thread in <./>Askh2g2</.> about peoples favourite Bowie songs recently, so some bods over there might was knowledgable enough to offer so help.
I'l go and advertise. It's F19585?thread=395116 if you're interested.

OK you caught me with your clever advertising.
I don't know loads but I did once read a biography written by Angie Bowie and I have some of his music. I don't know if this is any help.
How does this kind of thing start?

I think someone needs to start by creating an entry and outlining a short biography. If we can come up with the bare bones as a start we can all then chip in via one forum thread with additional information - perhaps someone looking at his career, another at his different stage persona's and another at his most significant songs. Filling the gaps once we have established the subject headings wouldn't quite so daunting.

Might the Collaborative Writing Workshop (<./>Writing-Collaborative</.> be the best place for someone to put it once they've made it?

Good idea
Looking at just how much The Thin White Duke has done this could turn into quite a large entry!
We could also ask for imput via the Post Announcements.

I've set up a template which people can post to.http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/A2455021
It gives a basic structure of various phases in his life and work. Hopefully this will help people along. However, there is potential for each sub-heading to be an entry in itself.
Have fun and I'll attempt to put it all together.

Brilliant D'you fancy submitting it to the Collaborative Writing Workshop? Seems purpose-built for a project like this...

PS - If you're interested, I'm going to do the same for a Pink Floyd entry I never really got round to doing.
