I hope they keep up the good workbut it's showing their merit

Considering what they have been through in the past they have turned out to be good kids. In that respect I have been very lucky.

They were laughing as they got it done in a few hours whereas their husbands would take a few weeks to do the same job

As they were growing up I let them help decorate and yes we had paint fights at times but we can still get a room done in a day

Many a time they went to school and when they came home a room had changed

without deriding meneven in the domain of decorating, a women can outdo some blokes

as in "they" spend 3 days "working out" what and when etc, a woman goes whoosh it's done

With the girls it was more of a case of "I'm bored" "what can we do?" "mum's got some paint" and "ok, lets do it" Then they decided to do the floor so one of them went out and got the tiles while the other one carried on. They were hoping to get it all done by the time I got back from work but we finished abit early today So while they finished off I cooked dinner for us all.

When a job needs doing If you get me, Kay and Crystal together it gets done

my 2 hadn't a clue about anythingdaughter not physically able in one sense and sonmentally not able

I made sure they could take care of themselves before they left home

They can all decorate,cook,clean, iron, do washing, lay carpets or tiles and quite a few bits of DIY plus numerous other things and that INCLUDES my son.

I wouldn't let them leave home until they could

pass on all that

I actually know that I was too slack with them, in house chores etc. But I swore I'd never be my dadHE always TOLD me what I could and couldn't doso I never volunteered for ANYTHING, as I "always" did it wrong to him

I never said they HAD to do anything They offered to help I said Ok and as we did things I taught them how to do it for themselves, the secret is to make it fun, hence the paint fights

I would never do what my dad did, that would be a mega mistake. If and when they have shown an interest in something I have always taken the oppotunity to teach them something yes they have made mistakes but we have a big laugh about them.
